New Delhi: The schedule for the 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) will be announced on Sunday. IPL chairman Brijesh Patel gave this information on Saturday. Now only 2 weeks are left for the IPL 2020 to begin. But the franchisees are worried about the schedule not being released so far. Earlier there was talk of releasing the schedule on 4 September.

Brijesh Patel told, “The IPL 2020 schedule, starting in the UAE from September 19, will be released tomorrow (on Sunday).” As you know that, earlier BCCI President Sourav Ganguly had said in an interview to a news channel that the schedule of this league will be released on 4 September (Friday). After that when it was not released till Saturday afternoon also. Then the IPL chairman said to announce it on Sunday.

Due to Covid-19, this Twenty20 league will be played in the empty stadiums of UAE this time in the absence of spectators. The league was earlier scheduled to begin on March 29. But this league then had to be postponed due to the global epidemic. After this, after the postponement of the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia this year, the BCCI got a blank window from the ICC schedule, after which it was decided to put the league in the Bio Secure Bubble in the UAE.
