Dubai witnessed yet another desert storm on 28.09.2020 when the island saw n amazing display of power, sportsmanship and plentiful jaw-dropping and nail-biting momenta during the match. With a target of 90 runs in 30 balls, which almost seemed impossible, team Mumbai Indians did it once again with the help of Kishan along with the tall West Indians who helped in crossing the finishing line.
During the lash over, the team needed only 19 runs and the Sri Lankan left arm pacer Isara Udana tried his best to stop the match from reaching the super over as the match was a tie at 201 runs. It was Navdeep Saini from team Royal Challengers Bangalore who restricted team Mumbai Indian to only 7 during the super over.
Ab de Villiars and captain Virat Kohli were the viewers of the thrilling match and they saw the match end with the splendid boundary of Jasprit Bumrah. The earlier opener Aaron Finch (52, 35b 7x4, 1x6) poured in with his experience. On the other hand, his rookie partner, Devdutt Padikkal (54, 40b, 5x4, 2x6) came into the field displaying his maturity and calmness.
He displayed both his flair and flamboyant attitude to team Mumbai Indians. We saw a great display of pomp and show from the duo of Aaron Finch and Devdutt Padikkal where they scored a total of 59 runs during the power play. It came in as a slow one from Boult to dismantle the 81 runs strong partnership of Finch and Padikkal. Team Royal Challengers did not get much support from captain Virat Kohli as during the time he was to bat, he couldn’t perform well and team RCB had to see all his boundaries drying up.
Soon captain Kohli was seen returning dugout after his half hearted shirt off leggie Rahul Chahar was taken at an extra cover by Rohit Sharma. The audience saw team Riyal Challengers handing over the wicketkeeping duty in place of Josh Phillippe who ideally made way for Zampa. On the other hand, we also saw the other RCB debutants replace Dale Steyn, Gurkeerat Mann was seen coming in for Umesh Yadav.
