The 13th edition of Indian Premier League saw team Delhi Capitals take away the second win with Prithvi Shaw’s elegant strokeplay (62 off 43 balls) along with disciplined all-round bowling. Team Delhi Capitals could pull up 175/3 during the 20 overs on due to Shaw’s efforts. They also restricted team Chennai Super Kings to 131/7 and noted a 44 runs victory in Dubai.

This was the second match for DC and they left team Chennai Super Kings with a lot more to do on the field with a great run chase. The viewers saw captain cool walk into the field during the 16th over wherein a total of 78 runs were needed from 26 balls. But sadly he was dismissed for 15 off 12 balls during the final over. It was evident that the team relied on captain cool to do a lot more in the game.

There was a lot of disappointment from the Chennai Super Kings spinners but on the other hand, team Delhi Capitals tweakers, Axar and Amit Mishra stood up to the expectations and gave a tough time to the opposition batsmen. During the eight overs between them, they concealed only 41 runs for one wicket.

Team Chennai Super Kings saw problems in their opening partnership. We saw Shane Watson (14) and M Vijay (10) move out within the powerplay as the entire team limped to 34/2 only after 6 overs. It was seen that Watson simply fell to Axar Patel not for the first time but for the 6th time during his career.

Team Chennai Super Kings was seen in a spot when the inexperienced player, Ruturaj Gaikwad was run out and the team gave Delhi Capitals their 3rd wicket.

Team Chennai Super Kings was in desperate need to bring their asking rate down at 47/3 in 10 overs. We also saw a few boundaries being hit in the latter half of the match but it did not do any good to the team overall. But somehow CSK could manage to pull thing snack together in the final 10 overs as only 87 runs were given away during this time.

On the other end, it was Shaw who lit the field on fire for team Delhi Capitals with his blistering knocks. Team CSK was not seen picking any wickets during the opening 6 overs but luckily, they kept the run rate under control during this time as team DC could only reach 36/0.

Now it would be interesting to see the future plannings and preparations for both the teams.
