New Delhi: The Players Academy won the first match in the 1st Raj Rani Memorial Cricket Tournament. With the help of Abhishek Gosai's (77) half-century and superb bowling by captain Tony Singh (3/52), the Players Academy defeated Future Academy by 4 wickets. Abhishek was awarded the SI Man of the match by KK Tiwari.
Future Academy was all-out for 168 runs in 30 overs. Bhavya (44), Hanish Arora (30), Vinayak Khandelwal (27) and Hrithik (24) made useful contributions. Players Academy's left-arm spinner Tony Singh (3/52), Kavya Gupta (2/38) and Yajas Sharma (2/18) bowled brilliantly.
In response, the Players Academy team lost 16 wickets in 29.3 overs and scored 169 runs and won the match by four wickets. Man of the match Abhishek Gosai scored 77 runs off 64 balls with the help of 9 fours and two sixes. Ajay Gulia and Mohammad Saif contributed 33 and 23 notout respectively. Nishank took two wickets from Future Academy. The win puts Players Academy is first place in the group with three points.
